1. Who we are

OpenBrief is operated by Super Inc. (“we”, “us”), based in Montréal, Québec, Canada. It lets an AI assistant send an advertising brief and get back the Canadian media opportunities that fit. This policy explains what personal information we handle and why. Questions or requests: [email protected].

2. What we collect

  • Account: your name and professional email address, and the organization you work for, collected through our sign-in provider when you connect the connector or open a console. Your name and email address are the only personal information OpenBrief holds.
  • Briefs: the text your assistant sends us (audience, place, dates, budget, brand-safety limits, notes) and the results we return, kept so you can find them again. A brief describes a campaign, not a person.
  • Media information: for media accounts, the information and data a media submits about its offer, and the changes made to it.
  • Messages: what you write in the contact form reaches us by email. It is not stored in our database.
  • Technical data: as with any web service, our sign-in and hosting providers record connection details (IP address, device, time) for security and to keep the service running.

3. Briefs: keeping the advertiser’s identity out

A brief should describe a campaign, not name the client. We reduce the risk that a brief can be tied back to the advertiser in two places:

  • On your side: the connector tells your assistant never to include the advertiser’s or brand’s name, and to describe what is promoted in plain words.
  • On our side: before a brief is stored or used, our servers automatically strip the name of the organization registered on the account and replace it with “[annonceur]”, in every field and in the results.

This is a safeguard, not a guarantee. We can only remove names we know. A brand name, product name or identifying detail that your assistant or you write in free text may remain. Do not put confidential information in a brief.

4. What we use it for

  • To run the service: match briefs with media opportunities, show you your earlier briefs, and let media manage their information.
  • To keep it safe and good: prevent abuse, review briefs and media information, fix errors and improve the matching.
  • To write to you about your account and replies to your messages. We do not sell personal information and we do not use it for advertising.

5. Who sees it

Media see the opportunities and demand that concern them, never your identity as an advertiser, unless you ask a media on our Pro plan for its availability or a quote: that request gives it your name, email and organization, and its feed names your organization, never your client. A media on the free plan gets the request without who sent it, and its answer reaches you through us. Your brief reaches a media only in the redacted form described above.

We rely on service providers that process data for us: Clerk (sign-in), Railway (hosting and database), Resend (email), Anthropic (AI processing of briefs and media information) and TypeSafe (AI classification of briefs and of the text media submit: a brief's brand-safety category, and detecting instructions aimed at AI assistants). They may be located outside Québec and Canada, including in the United States. We share only what each one needs and we do not allow them to use it for their own purposes. The AI assistant you use to talk to OpenBrief is your own choice and is governed by its provider’s terms, not ours.

We may disclose information if the law requires it.

6. Cookies

This website sets no analytics or advertising cookies. The sign-in pages run by Clerk use the cookies needed to keep you signed in.

7. How long we keep it

Your name and email address are kept while your account exists. You can delete your account, and that information with it, at any time at accounts.openbrief.media. We make no backup of it: once deleted, it is gone.

Briefs and results are kept while your account is open, so you can retrieve them; once your account is deleted, they no longer point to anyone. Agency plans can control how long their briefs are kept. Media can delete their information at any time. Contact messages are kept in our mailbox as long as needed to answer and follow up. Connection logs at our providers expire on their own.

8. Your rights

Under Québec and Canadian privacy law you may ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, withdraw a consent, or ask a question about how we handle it. You can delete your account yourself at accounts.openbrief.media; for anything else, write to [email protected]. We reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec or to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

9. Security

We use encrypted connections, access controls and limited access by our team; our security page, openbrief.media/en/security, describes each measure. No system is perfectly secure; if an incident puts your personal information at risk of serious harm, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version. For a significant change, we will say so on this site.
